Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Golden Astro Foundation ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares your personal data when you use Golden Astro Foundation (the "Website"). We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other Indian laws that apply to us.
1. What we collect
- Account: your email address, name and mobile number. We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email; we do not store passwords.
- Birth details: if you save a birth profile, your name, date, time and place of birth, gender and the place's coordinates and timezone. You give these to get your own charts and readings.
- Orders: delivery name, address, PIN code, phone, the items you bought, the amount, and payment status and reference. Your card or UPI details go to our payment provider and never reach us.
- Messages: what you write when you contact us, and reviews you submit.
- Photos (optional): if you use Palmistry or Face Reading, the photo you upload.
- AI Chat (optional): the questions you ask about your chart.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and time, used for security and to stop abuse. We keep usage logs of calls to our astrology provider, but without your birth details or questions.
2. Why we use it
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To calculate your Kundli, matching, horoscope, readings and chat answers.
- To take payment, ship your order, send order emails, issue invoices and handle returns and refunds.
- To reply to your messages and to keep the Website secure.
- To meet legal duties, such as tax and accounting records.
We process your data with your consent, or where the law allows or requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights").
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed with these kinds of service providers, who act for us:
- Payment provider (Razorpay): to process your payment.
- Astrology provider (AstrologyAPI): to calculate charts and answer your questions. For charts it receives your date, time and place of birth. For AI Chat it also receives your first name, gender and your questions. For Palmistry or Face Reading it receives your photo. It may keep chat history under a session until the chat is ended.
- Couriers: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
- Email and hosting providers: to send our emails and run the Website.
- Authorities: where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India under their own terms. We share only the data a service needs.
4. How long we keep it and how we protect it
- Birth details are encrypted in our database. We keep them until you delete them or ask us to.
- Photos you upload are used only to produce your reading and are not saved on our servers.
- We do not save your AI Chat conversation on our servers. Starting a new chat asks our provider to delete that conversation.
- Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Sign-in codes expire quickly and are deleted automatically.
We use encryption in transit, access controls and rate limits. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you; correct or complete it; erase it (unless we must keep it by law, such as invoices); withdraw your consent; and nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or cannot act. You can edit or delete your birth profiles yourself in your dashboard. For everything else, contact us (details below). We will verify it is you before we act.
6. Children
The Website is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the bottom of the page shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell you on the Website or by email.
